Sika stag hunting - special offer for Rainsford Hunting members!

Price before: 1700 euro.

A sika hunt in Ireland for "the grey ghost" is an absolute adventure! This hunting trip offer you 5 days of hunting, 1 trophy sikastag, and 1 cull stag after the choice of the stalker.

When you choose a hunting trip to Ireland, there are endless opportunities for hunting, but you won't miss out on the notorious sika hunt, which Ireland is known for! The hunt for sika is truly exciting and at times very challenging. You are hunting in the beautiful highlands with steep, grassy hills as far as the eye goes, and also in the forestry's surrounding the rolling farmland with bogs, forests and agricultural fields. You are guaranteed an amazing hunt in breathtaking surroundings!

The sika hunt in Ireland is walk and stalk where you will be guided by a professional hunter who knows the enormous area, and where the sika hides. Typically you will drive out early in the morning, and then keep on by foot, until you reach the upper highland where you will have an amazing view. From there you will glass the area trying to find a good sized sika stag and then pursue it.

The terrain is very hilly, and you need to be in a decent shape to get around the highlands of Ireland. You will be walking long distances up and down every day. It is possible to hunt sika from a stand, but that is best in early morning and late evening. The sika deer is known to be very shy, and you will definitely experience how fast a sika stag can appear and disappear from nowhere. That's why they call it "the grey ghost"

The outfitter states:

"The grounds I hunt upon are among the most scenic and picturesque in Wicklow. Often my clients are so enthralled by the beautiful landscape they stop to take pictures.
The areas are managed strictly and I ensure a balanced population ratio each year. My intention is to take 25-30 stags annually and 100 hinds. Each year we are proud to announce 15-20 trophy stags of record class. And my clients return each year to once again enjoy another sika hunt in Ireland and to hunt with us"

Ireland is an absolute beautiful country with great hospitality towards foreign hunters. The Irish people are very friendly, and a good way to socialize with the Irish, is to visit the local pub and taste their amazing local beers and world class whiskey. When visiting this outfitter it is highly recommended to choose the accommodation in the local town of Tinahealy at Murphy's Hotel where you will experience true Irish hospitality, good food and good drinks!
